Data integration is an important part of Denodo’s broader logical data management capabilities, which include data governance, a universal semantic layer, and a full-featured, business-friendly data catalog that not only lists all available data but also enables immediate access directly from the catalog.

For this reason, I’m quite thrilled that Denodo has once again been named a Customer’s Choice in the Gartner Peer Insights™ Voice of the Customer for Data Integration Tools, and is the only vendor in the report recognized as a Customers’ Choice for four years in a row.

In this year’s report, out of 53 reviewers, each of whom were verified Denodo customers, 64% gave Denodo a five-star rating, the highest rating, while the remainder gave Denodo a four-star rating. No customers gave Denodo a lower rating.

The Logical Data Management Factor

I think that Denodo has been extremely successful in the data integration space because of our logical approach to data management. Enabled by data virtualization, a logical approach integrates data without having to physically replicate data into a single repository. This approach not only avoids the costs of unnecessary storage and server maintenance, but it also enables real-time access to disparate data sources, including siloed data within the same data platform. It also performs all of the necessary transformations on-the-fly, so organizations can deliver integrated data to myriad different groups, in their required formats, at the speed of business.

Many organizations have leveraged our logical approach to data management and data integration, across myriad industries. To illustrate, I’d like to highlight the story of one of our customers, First Republic Bank, a part of JPMorgan Chase.

First Republic Bank: Gaining a Unified View over All Lines-of-Business    

First Republic Bank, founded in 1985 and based in San Francisco, California, provides a complete line of banking products, including residential, commercial, and personal loans, and deposit services, as well as private wealth management, including investment, brokerage, insurance, trust, and foreign exchange services. The bank prides itself on delivering reliable, personalized service across this diverse variety of financial products, every day. Customers have been responsive to both cross-selling and up-selling, and the bank has been able to both anticipate and meet their growing demands.

However, First Republic was maintaining multiple data silos, and this inhibited agility and efficiency. Different teams were multiplying efforts, and inconsistency was common.

The bank implemented the Denodo Platform, a logical data management solution powered by data virtualization, to centralize data by enabling real-time, logical connections to disparate data sources, without replication. As a result, First Republic transformed its data infrastructure into a much more agile, efficient one that supports real-time dashboards fed by centrally governed, standardized data sets.
